Joel Lloyd Grzybowski

Joel Lloyd Grzybowski, beloved son of Ellen D. Fiedler and nephew of Joy Veatch, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his home in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High School and attended college at UW-Madison and UWSP where he majored in Political Science.

Joel was well known as a singer/songwriter in the Central Wisconsin area and elsewhere in the world, especially in Germany and Poland where he lived for many years. For more than the past 20 years, he worked from June through September driving various machines harvesting beans for Del Monte Foods.

Joel was a world traveler up until recent years and was hoping to go back again to faraway places. He was a kind and caring person and enjoyed spending time with good friends.

It was his being in my life that led me into my work in gifted education. He taught me so much by just being who he was. I'm very grateful that he was my son.

Joel is survived by his mother, Ellen Fiedler, and her husband, Ciro Mazzola, along with his aunt, Joy Veatch.

He will be sorely missed!
