Joseph Peter "Poppy" Frasch

Age 79 of Rosholt, passed away at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point on Monday, October 18th, 2021 with family at his side.

Joe was born on August 27th,1942 to Daniel T. Frasch and Agnes E. Frasch (Nawrot). Joe grew up on the east side of Milwaukee, worked with his father as a painter and was a lifeguard for the Boys' Club. Joe went on to enjoy a fulfilling career with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District where he retired after completing thirty-one years of service. Along with his career at the MMSD, Joe dedicated his time to helping children as a foster care provider.

While working in Milwaukee, Joe met Janis F. (Gorishek) Frasch and married in the Spring of 1976. In 1982, Joe and his wife moved to Rosholt, Wisconsin and made it their home. Joe enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dining out, working on an assortment of projects, the occasional trip to the casino, and taking care of his hummingbirds.

Joe is survived by four children: Gregory (Susan), Jeffrey (Sandy), Wendy (Matt) Janssen, Joanna (Chris); grandchildren: Jason (Missy), Ryan, Amanda (Lance) Meyer, Devan (Emily), Adam, Alex (Laurie), and Cassidy; great-grandchildren: Miles, Liam, Wesley, and Ethan.

He was preceded in death by his sister Marion, mother Agnes, father Daniel and wife Janis.
