Joseph R. Pieczynski
Of Plover passed away early Friday morning, January 22, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side, while under the care of Heartland Hospice
Age 81 Joseph was born September 4, 1939 to the late Joseph and Bertha (Turzinski) Pieczynski. Joe attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School. His marriage to Evelyn "Evie" Hoerter took place on January 7, 1961 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stevens Point. His wife Evie survives.
Joe worked for Consolidated Papers Wisconsin River Division for many years retiring in 1997. In his retirement Joe shared his music talent playing the guitar and harmonica by entertaining folks at the Lincoln Center and area nursing homes. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Joe's name will be established at a later date.
Survivors include his wife Evie and their children; Jodi (Steve) Kulick of Ripon, WI, Michael (Susan) Pieczynski of East Troy, WI., Mindy (Shawn) Kottke of Amherst, and Robb (Jessica) Pieczynski of Stevens Point.
Their grandchildren and great grandchildren; Maxwell (Megan) Kulick and their daughter Charlotte Josephine, Jordan Pieczynski, D'Lacy (Danny) Eichinger, Michaela Gulczynski, Luke Pieczynski, Ted Kottke, Joe Kottke, Evan Pieczynski, Piper Pieczynski and Tracy (Correy) Bushman and their son Jace.
Further survived by his siblings, Carol (Ray) Potocki of Stevens Point, David Pieczynski of the Philippines, Judy (Jim) Donato of Stevens Point and Chris (Gary) Splichal of Hortonville.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sister Arlene Hennes, brother-in-law George Hennes and niece Laurie Potocki.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Rev. Brandon Guenther officiating. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery in the Spring. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am to 10:45 am at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Road, Plover prior to going to church. Masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home and at church. The funeral mass will be live streamed from church. Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover is honored to be serving the family.
