Joyce E. Dekay

Joyce E. Dekay, age 89, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully on March 16 th , 2024 at Care
Partners Assisted Living Center. Joyce was born on October 4 th , 1934 to the late Andrew and
Janet (Smith) Kulas. She grew up in Stevens Point with her five siblings and attended the local
schools. After high school, she found work through various jobs including the Soo Line railroad.  Through most of her children's younger years she was a homemaker.
In her free time, Joyce enjoyed vacationing, swimming in the river, and getting together with her friends..
Survivors include her sister Barb McCormick, children: Ann (Jeff) Schultz and Daniel Dekay of Stevens Point. Her granddaughter, Megan Schultz and great granddaughter, Mia Hall.  She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Joyce was proceeded in death by her husband John Dekay, her parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
