Judith Ellen Johnson of Rosholt, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Age 81, Judith was born on May 22, 1942, in Plover, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Edythe Gaskill.
Judith married Donald L. Johnson on July 11, 1959, in Estherville, IA. The couple moved to Stevens Point in 1966. Her husband Don preceded her in death on July 7, 2008.
Judi worked as a Medical Technologist and Lab Supervisor for St. Michaels Hospital and the Rice Clinic until her retirement in 2007.
Judi loved reading, plays, traveling, her Sunday Fundays and making memories, especially with those she loved. She cherished her kids, grandkids, great grandchildren and spent a lot of time with her beloved friends - Jen, Kati and Elsie. They often traveled together within the US and to Ireland to see the Irish singer Danny O'Donnell in concert.
She adventured out often with her husband Don riding their motorcycle throughout the entire western United States. She enjoyed holidays more than anything, getting together with the entire family over meals and creating stories that would become those laughable loving moments for all to remember. She even made it to Costa Rica. As a devout Catholic, the traditions of the Catholic Religion were very important to Judi who made sure daily mass was part of her routine. In those traditions Judi developed many friendships that remain today.
Survivors include her four children: Douglas (Rubecca) Johnson, Gurnee, IL. Danial (Molly) Johnson, Stevens Point, WI., Shelly (John) Virsnieks, Stevens Point, WI., Kelly (Chris) Tuszke, Iola WI., her fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
