Judith A. Polum

Judith  "Judi"  A. Polum, 73, of Plover died on Friday August 13, 2021, with her family by her side at Maple Ridge  Memory Care. Judi was under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Judi was born on August 7, 1948 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Marian (Eiden) Sankey. She attended local schools graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1966.

Judi was a lifelong resident of Plover where she was an in-home daycare provider. Her marriage to Robert "Bob" Polum took place on May 11, 1968 at St. Bronislava Catholic church.

Judi along with her husband did extensive volunteering at St. Bronislava Parish and other various organizations. She was a member of the St. Bronislava PCCW (long time president), Plover Legion Post 543 Auxiliary President, Village of Plover cemetery committee and Salvation Army advisory board.

Judi enjoyed canning, cooking for Red Cross blood drives, Polish Heritage Festival (Dozynki) volunteer. She also catered events like weddings, anniversaries, funerals and corporate gatherings. She enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States.

Survivors include her husband Bob Polum of Plover. Daughter, Susan (Scott) Hintz of Plover. Grandchildren, Robert and Hunter Hintz, Amanda (Richard) Fochs. Great-Grandchildren, Hadleigh, Grayson, Daxton and  Landri .

Brother, Charles (Judy) Sankey of Plover. Also survived by several brothers- in-law  and sisters- in-law. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, David and Joann Sankey and three infant brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Judith will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday August 19, 2021 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church 3200 Plover Road Plover. Very Reverend Edward Shuttleworth will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home 2911 Plover Road Plover and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Plover Legion Post 543 Auxiliary will have a ritual at 6:45 p.m. and the parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover is honored to be serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorials in Judi's name will go towards the Salvation Army and Maple Ridge Memory Care.
