Julie A. Engebretson, age 34, of Plover, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

She was born on March 24, 1975, in Stevens Point to Norman Engebretson and Joan (Repinski) Engebretson and was a 1996 graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High.

Julie resided with Aurora Community Services for the past nine years and she enjoyed long walks, being barefoot and the great care and friendship by all who touched her life. She also enjoyed her life with her Aurora family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Joan Engebretson of Stevens Point; father, Norman Engebretson of Plover; brother, Jeff Engebretson of Stevens Point; maternal grandparents, Larry and Betty Repinski of Stevens Point; niece, Ava, and nephew, Carson, both of Stevens Point; special aunt, Mary Jo Schultz of Stevens Point. Julie is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, relative and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Oscar and Isabelle Engebretson.

Julie's family would like to thank family and friends at Aurora for the love, care and support they gave to Julie. Also, a thank you to the staff of the Critical Care Dept. and Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover with St. Bronislava's Director of Pastoral Ministries, Dwaine Habrat, officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
