Kathleen Ann Lukaszewicz, 76, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born in Stevens Point to Robert and Elizabeth (Kosloski) Peskie. She graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High and, in 1972, married the love of her life, Edward Scott Lukaszewicz. Together they shared over 50 years of love and commitment.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Kathy's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children: Lee (Sara Danke) Lukaszewicz and their son Markus Lee Lukaszewicz, and Lacy (Jake) Nelsen and their son Miles Lukas Nelsen. She is also survived by her brothers Jim, Rick, Mike, and Al Peskie. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed and her brother Ron Peskie.
Kathy's heart shone brightest when she was with her children and grandsons, the sound of their laughter and voices brought her immeasurable happiness. She found great joy in preparing meals for family, a true expression of her love and devotion. Kathy's exceptional meals will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in them.
A lifelong lover of books, she cherished her frequent visits to the library, and there was always a stack of library books on her end table waiting to be read.
Countless lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and selfless spirit, and the love she gave so freely will be carried forward by those who loved her most.
Graveside Services for Kathy will be held at 11:15 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, with a luncheon to follow. Chaplain Mark Lewis will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations which will be designated toward a memorial in Kathy's honor to be established at a later date. The family would like to thank the Marshfield Medical Center 4th floor palliative care staff for the compassionate and attentive care in Kathy's final days.
