Kenneth M. Szymkowiak

Kenneth M. Szymkowiak, 72, 600 Bukolt Ave., died unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 4, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Ken was born September 18, 1951 in Stevens Point to the late Dominic and Marcella (Shereck) Szymkowiak. He was married to Jean (Berto) Szymkowiak on May 26, 1979, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

After their marriage, the couple settled in Stevens Point. Ken worked at Copps Stevens Point for 47 years.

He graduated from Pacelli High School in 1970. He was a huge NASCAR fan and his son Dan worked for Frontrow motors sports in North Carolina following the Raykowski Racing team at Goldensands speedway in Plover, WI driven by his brother in law Matt and nephew Adam Raykowski. He was also a big fan of the packers.

He is survived by his; two sons, Daniel of Mooresville North Carolina and Patrick of Stevens Point, Brothers James (Hillary) Szymkowiak of Wellington New Zealand, Leonard of Stevens Point, Robert of Stevens Point, and Eugene of Stevens Point, Sisters; Mary Ann (Allen) Heidel of Menomonee Falls, and Kathy (Matt) Raykowski of Stevens Point. He is further survived by his granddaughter Ayla Jean Szymkowiak of Mooresville North Carolina.
