Kevin G. Gavin

Kevin G. Gavin, of Stevens Point, was called home to reunite with his much-missed wife on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home. Age: 61. Kevin was born April 12, 1960, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He was the Son of the Al and Dorothy (NEE: Hintz) Gavin. He attended local schools and graduated from SPASH in 1978.

His marriage to Barbara (Meshak) Gavin took place on May 12, 1982, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Custer. After their marriage, the couple settled in Plover, and lived at their family home for 17 years. They had 3 beautiful children together. After Kevin's motorcycle accident in 2011 he moved into a single level home in Stevens Point.

Kevin worked for SPASH for many years. He was very proud of his contributions to the school district.

Kevin enjoyed watching and cheering on the Green Bay packers, spoiling and loving his cat Harley, eating anything off the grill, drinking ice coffee, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In earlier years he loved riding his Harley, camping with his family, loving his wife, splitting wood, and taking great pride in his lawn. Kevin was a loving husband and supportive father.

Kevin is survived by his three children, Andrew Gavin, Kristen (Ryan) Block, Mitchell Gavin (Rebecca Kimmel.) Eight grandchildren Kiana, Tayten, Evan, Aurora, Finnegan, Liberty, Layton, Elena. His father, Al Gavin. His three sisters, Cindy (Mike) Jakusz, Vicki (Dennis) Lewandowski, and Lori (Scott) Kluck.

Welcoming him to his heavenly home by his wife Barbara, who passed on the same day 14 years ago. True love found its way to each other. He is also preceded in death by his mother and nephew Seth Zakrzewski.

Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Family and Friends may call from 9:30 am Wednesday at the church until the time for mass.
