With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Laura Lee Benzmiller-Reed, who left us on June 4, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on August 16, 1964, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Laura touched countless lives with her warmth, humor, and boundless compassion.

Laura was a woman of extraordinary empathy and kindness. She had a way of making people feel seen and cared for—whether through her thoughtful words, a perfectly timed joke, or a home-cooked meal. She had a heart big enough for everyone and would quite literally give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.

Despite a difficult battle with cancer, Laura faced each day with resilience, grace, and an unwavering sense of humor. She never gave up, and she never let the disease define her. Her strength inspired all who knew her.

Laura found joy in the simple things: spending time with her beloved family and friends, baking and cooking with love, shopping for others more than herself, and savoring precious moments with her cherished grandson, Theodore. She also loved to travel when she could, always finding beauty and meaning wherever she went.

She is survived by her loving spouse, Ken Fisher; her daughter, Taylor Weiss; her son-in-law, Alex Weiss; and her grandson, Theodore Weiss. She is also deeply missed by her mother, Virginia Benzmiller; and her sisters, Sue Franz and Beth Karr. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Benzmiller.

Laura's absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in the love she gave so freely.

A Service of Remembrance for Laura will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 13th at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911, Plover Road, Plover. The visitation will take place at 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. All who knew and loved Laura are welcome to attend and share memories of this incredible woman.
