Leona V. Schultz

Leona V. Schultz, age 93, of Stevens Point, died Sunday Sept. 19, 2021 with her family at her side at Willow Brooke Point assisted living in Stevens Point.  She was born Nov. 8, 1927 in Stevens Point. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Shippy) Bialas.

Her marriage to Benjamin Schultz took place in 1947.  Benjamin died Jan. 8, 1986.

Leona worked at the telephone company in Stevens Point as an Operator and after the couple moved to Chicago, she worked at the Northern Trust Company as a Senior Commercial Credit Investigator. She retired in 1988 and moved back to Stevens Point in 1989.

Leona enjoyed sewing, knitting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter; Tharsilla "Tharcy" (George) Glodowski of Stevens Point and one son; Dennis Schultz of Stevens Point. 6 Grandchildren; Georgann Mackie of Mosinee, Patrice Wasmundt of Schofield, Christine (Rick) Svennes of Wausau, Phillip (Katie) Glodowski of Fremont, Matthew (Jolene) Glodowski of Milladore and Leannne (Ryan) Jeidy of Plover.  21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  2 sisters; Dorothy (Jerome) Schultz of Stevens Point and Clay (Gary) Grossman of Evansville. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Genie Bialas and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Daniel and Alfred Bialas and 1 sister; Germaine Bannach.

The family would like to thank Compasses Hospice for all their wonderful care of Leona.  In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday Sept. 28, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic church.  Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate.  Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday morning in the St. Faustina room at St. Peter Church.  A rosary will be prayed at 9:15 AM.  Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.  For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
