Leroy J. Gwidt

LeRoy J. Gwidt, Age 86, of Stevens Point died Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Gwidt was born June 27, 1935, in Stevens Point, the son of the late Leo and Eleanor (Tomchek) Gwidt.

He was married to Mary F. Soik on November 7, 1959, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church on the campus of Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, from which he graduated in 1953. After their marriage they settled in Stevens Point and later in Plover. Mary died Aug 20, 1991.

Mr. Gwidt was employed at the family drug store for over 30 years.

Survivors include six sons, Steve, Plover, David, Neenah, Michael, Petoskey, MI, John (Donna), Denver, CO, Paul (Sarah), Stevens Point, and Joel (Asia), Kansas City, MO, one daughter Nancy (Mike Burns) Breitenstein, Stevens Point,

14 grandchildren and special friend Nancy Tokarski.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Phyllis (Bud) Nelson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Peter Catholic Church at 800 Fourth Ave. in Stevens Point. Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate.  Visitation will be held in the St. Faustina room at church from 8:30 am until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the  St. Bronislava cemetery, Plover.  Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
