Lillian Zaborowski, 98, passed away peacefully on Jan 7 th 2021 in Stevens Point, WI.
Lillian was born June 24th, 1922 in Custer WI, raised on a farm with her parents and siblings. In her teens, the family moved into town. There she met her husband Ernie at the free outdoor movie near the river and married Oct.25, 1941. Ernie was off to war and Lillian took care of their first son Jimmy. After Ernie's return, they were blessed with their second son Tommy. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family.
Lillian and Ernie did everything together. Rarely did they not accompany each other even on the smallest of errands. They enjoyed dancing polkas and waltzes in their younger years and replaced dancing with long bike rides or walks throughout town as they aged. Their other pastime was joining Tom and his wife to visit Las Vegas. When going once a year became too hard, they substituted that for local casinos. They loved getting together with family to play pinochle and watching the birds they fed outside.
In her later years, Lillian moved to North Ridge Assisted Living and loved to play bingo and sit with friends in the TV room.
Lillian is survived by her grandchildren: Lisa (Mark) Pozorski – Burnsville MN, Landon (Andrea)- Hannibal MO, Preston (Agata) – Ottawa Canada, Niya – Cotopaxi CO,
9 great-grandchildren,
daughter-in-law Mary, nieces and nephews, including Cindy Kouba and Betty Rogalla.
Preceded her in death were husband Ernie, sons Jim and Tom and daughter-in-law Joan, grandchildren Nathan and Sonja, her parents and siblings Chester, Dolores and Lorraine.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com
