Lorraine G. Wroblewski, 88, loving wife and mother, died peacefully at Dimensions Living Center on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, with her family near.
Lorraine was born November 15, 1935 in the Town of Amherst, Wisconsin.
She was the daughter of the late Max and Rose (Wierzba) Trzebiatowski. She was tucked in the middle between the 10 other siblings.
Lorraine grew up on the family farm and attended local schools, graduating from Amherst High School in 1954.
She worked in the Milwaukee area for several years.
Her marriage to Hubert Wroblewski took place on May 17, 1958 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Fancher, Wisconsin.
He preceded her in death on October 20, 2011.
They returned to the Stevens Point area to raise their family and she took great joy in being a dedicated homemaker.
Raising her children, gardening, canning and preserving, being a good neighbor to those on Algoma St and spending time with the many relatives, Sunday afternoons in particular, brought happiness to her days. She loved her time with grandkids and great- grandkids, looking forward to the holiday get-togethers for sharing that time together.
Lorraine was a faithful member of St. Stanislaus / Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years and was an active member of the Rosary Society, assisting with a variety of service projects.
Operation Bootstrap held a special place in her heart as well, she offered many hours of volunteer work to support their efforts.
She supported her husband Hubert's electrical sub-contracting tasks and became well renowned for the home-baked treats that found their way to job sites for all to share.
In lieu of flowers a donation in her honor to Heartland Hospice can be included with Operation Bootstrap and Holy Spirit Church, or a charity/non-profit of your choosing is appreciated.
Survivors include her four children; two daughters, Bonita (Tom) Brost of Superior and Jean (Daniel) Rice of Rhinelander, and two sons, James (Brenda Saeger) Wroblewski of Custer and Dennis (Kari) Wroblewski of Stevens Point.
Seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Nicole) Rice, Aubrey (Boone) Putney, Matthew (Jenny Christopher) Rice, Jackson and Eleanor Wroblewski, Derek and Holly Saeger.
Five great-grandchildren, Lilah, Gideon and Pippen Putney, Felix and Hugo Rice
Three sisters, Lucille Patoka and Arlene Wroblewski of Stevens Point and Janet (Jim) Roska of Plover.
Three brothers, Myron (Arlene) Trzebiatowski and Rudy Trzebiatowski of Amherst and Clarence (MaryJane) of Plover.
She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, their spouses and families.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Trzebiatowski and 3 brothers, William, Chester and Jerome Trzebiatowski.
