Marie M Eron

Marie M. Eron, Age 82, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living in Plover. Marie was born January 25, 1940. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Mayme (Schmutzer) Smazal.

Her marriage to Henry Eron took place on November 4, 1961 at St. Kilian Catholic church in Blenker. Together Henry and her farmed their entire life in the Town of Carson. Her husband Henry preceded her in death on June 18, 2020.

In her free time Marie enjoyed polka dancing, spending time with and watching her grandchildren, when they were young.

Survivors include her three sons, Joe Eron of Stevens Point, Gerald (Sarah) Eron of Custer and Dennis (Denise) Eron of Rudolph; four grandchildren, Alex, Cole, Elizabeth and Justine; siblings, Frances (Albert) Schilling, Valeria (Gary) Hendrickson, Lila Stewart, Laurie (Dick) Raab, Bev Rawling and Frank (Eddie) Smazal; sister-in-law, Rita Smazal; brother-in-law Chester (Caroline) Eron; sisters-in-law Betty Waltenberg, Evelyn Suchowski and Celia Eron; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry; brothers, Marvin, Vernon and James Smazal; sisters, Vivian Smazal, Gertie (Joe) Sazama, Helen (Roy) Hartl and Betty Schlafke; and brother-in-law, Darryl Stewart. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at St.  Bartholomew Catholic church. Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bartholomew Parish Cemetery in Millcreek.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the PISARSKI COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME , 2911 Plover Road, Plover, WI 54467 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again, from 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Bartholomew Church until the time of mass. There will be a Parish Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening to conclude the visitation.
