Mary Adamski, 77, of Stevens Point, WI, passed away peacefully on March 12th, 2025. She was born on February 10th, 1948, in Stevens Point, WI, the daughter of Morris and Angeline (Karch) Roszak. Mary grew up in the small town of Arnott, WI, and attended a one-room schoolhouse for her primary education. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1966, a proud milestone in her early life.
On May 3rd, 1969, Mary married John J. Adamski, Jr. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church in Fancher, WI. Together, they celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage in 2024. Throughout their time together, Mary and John built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Mary's professional career began at SentryWorld Insurance, but she later found her true calling as a teacher's aide in the Stevens Point Area School District. For 20 years, "Mrs. A." was a beloved figure in the lives of countless elementary school students and teachers. She touched many hearts with her kindness, patience, and unwavering support.
Outside of work, Mary was a member of St. Bronislava Parish in Plover, WI. She had a passion for sports, particularly cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. She was an avid golfer and bicyclist and enjoyed spending time outdoors. A talented seamstress, she found joy in crafting and creating, often gifting her beautiful creations to friends and family. Above all, Mary cherished time spent with those she loved.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband, John J. Adamski, Jr.; daughters Amy Licht and Sara Werner and their husbands Eric Licht and Aaron Werner; grandchildren Vance Licht, Ethan Licht, Haven Novak (Riley), Ada Werner, and Milo Werner; Sister Joanne Steeno (Kirk); and goddaughter and niece Jenna Culligan Westcott (Clayton). She is also survived by many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her warm spirit and loving presence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Angeline Roszak (Karch).
A memorial service for Mary will be held on Friday June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home 2911 Plover Road Plover. Deacon Jim Trzinski will officiate. Visitation on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Pisarski Funeral Home Plover. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery Fancher.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mary's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization she held dear.
