Mary Ann Webie, age 90, of Stevens Point, died on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Willow Brook Point Senior Living.  Mary Ann was born on December 12, 1930 in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Joseph and Bridget (Betker) Liebe.

She attended Maria and P.J. Jacobs Schools in Stevens Point.  Mary Ann was united in marriage to George Webie Jr on February 19, 1966 in Stevens Point.

Mary Ann and George lived in Milwaukee for 15 years where she worked for Allen-Bradley Corp. before returning to Stevens Point. She was employed with Lullabye Furniture Co. for a while before Mary Ann and George purchased the Starlite Ballroom. In 1979, Mary Ann and her sister, Virginia, purchased the Virg n' Mary Tavern until they sold it in 1997. Her last employment was with Marsden Cleaning Services, retiring in 2011.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved watching the Milwaukee Brewers.

She is survived by; her sisters, Virginia McCarthy, of Stevens Point and Evelyn Lepinski, of Florida; brother-in-law, John Pioro of Racine; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by; her parents; her husband, George Jr. in May of 1974; brothers, Raymond, Chester, Myron, Laverne, Ervin, Adam, Ernest and Leonard; sisters, Eleanor Walenski, Esther Gollon, Gladys Slack, Belvina Pioro and Sophie Liebe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2151 Stanley Street, Stevens Point on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 10:30AM with Rev. Steven J. Brice presiding.

Private family burial will take place, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wisconsin Rapids at a later date.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the church on Tuesday from 9:00AM until the time of the mass.
