Mary Ann Wieczorek, age 87, of Rosholt, Wisconsin, passed away on December 25, 2024, at Barfield Health Care in Guntersville, Alabama. She was born on July 23, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Szczypka) Kucharzak. She married Francis Wieczorek on October 1, 1960, at Saint Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, in 1955 and from Wisconsin State College (now the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point) with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and started teaching at Rosholt High School in 1960. She met Frank Wieczorek the same year, at the Wieczorek's Coffee Cup restaurant.
Mary Ann dedicated her life to service. She taught (full and part time) at Rosholt High School, raised a loving family, and worked at the family restaurant. A devout member of St. Adalbert Parish, she actively participated in the Rosary Society and Family Life Committee. Her contributions included scheduling lectors and ushers, volunteering at church picnics and funeral luncheons, and joyfully singing in the church choir, especially during the Christmas season.
After a fulfilling career as a teacher, she retired, enjoying visits with family and friends, and cherishing time with her children and grandchildren. Following the passing of her husband, Frank, she moved to Alabama to be closer to her daughter, Laurie, where she received loving care until her peaceful passing.
She is survived by James Wieczorek of Covington, Georgia, Michael (Daniela) Wieczorek of Athens, Georgia, and Laurie (Jason) Helton of Huntsville, Alabama. Her surviving grandchildren are Alex, Nicholas, and William Wieczorek and Erin, Lindsey, and Evan Helton. She is further survived by her sister, Barbara Wieczorek, of Rosholt, Wisconsin and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Wieczorek, her parents, and her brothers, Thaddeus (Ted) and Leo Kucharzak.
