Of Plover passed away early Saturday afternoon, March 2, 2024 at Aspirus Hospital in Plover.

Age 55 Matthew was born March 9, 1968 in Stevens Point . He was the son of the late James L. and Helen L. (Smokovich) Peterson. He attended local grade schools, graduating from Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) in 1987.

In his free time Matthew  enjoyed gardening, being in the outdoors and was an avid Packer fan.

Survivors include his brother Michael  Peterson of Reston, VA., his two sisters Christine Ioannides of CA, and Susan Hollingsworth of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
