Maurice W. Winch

Maurice "Buzz" W. Winch, 85, formerly of Junction City, died Monday July 31, 2023, at Dimensions Senior Living Facility Stevens Point. Maurice passed away with his loving wife Donna and family by his side. He was under the care of Promedica Hospice.

Maurice was born on February 15, 1938, to the late Wilbur and Viola (Bean) Winch. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.  After graduating high school Maurice joined the United States Army. He entered on September 27, 1956, in Milwaukee. He served in Panama and was honorably discharged on September 11, 1959, at Fort Sheridan Illinois.

In 1985 Maurice along with his wife Donna built the family business Winch LP Gas and sold the company 30 years later. He was one of the charter members of the Junction City Lions in 1966 and continued until his last days. He took great pride in his business and all of his loyal customers.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Donna. Sons, Robert (Laurie) Winch, James (Wendy) Winch, Daughters, Lisa (Mark)Totten, Carrie (Jerry)Kawski. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and grandson Brad.
