Michael J. Mutz

We are sad to announce the passing of Michael J. Mutz of Stevens Point.  Michael died at his home on April 27th, at the age of 75.

Mike was born October 16, 1947 in Wausau to Martin and Gladys (Smedberg) Mutz.  He grew up in Oshkosh where he graduated high school and attended UW-Oshkosh.  He worked for the Copps Corporation from 1964-1988.  Mike went on to work as a bartender & restaurant owner in Plover.  He spent his final working years at UWSP in the maintenance department until he retired in 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, (Martin and Gladys), a brother (Martin "Lenny" Mutz), and two sisters (Mary Selk and Carol Veith). He is survived by his two sons Michael Mutz (Jill) and Matthew Mutz, and three grand-children (Madelyn, Emily and Zachary).

A private burial ceremony will take place at Guardian Angel cemetery for family and close friends.
