Nancy L. Karg

Nancy Lee Karg, Age 85, of Stevens Point, passed away early Friday morning, May 31, 2024 at her home with her husband Mel at her side, while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Nancy was born February 10, 1939 in Plainview, MN,  a daughter of the late
McKinley and Cecil (Vaughan) Lingenfelter.

Her marriage to Melvin J. Karg took place on June 6,  1966 in Wausau, WI. Her husband Mel survives.

Nancy taught at the University of Nebraska and University of Wisconsin Stevens Point .

In her free time Nancy enjoyed traveling and oil and watercolor painting.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Melvin; two daughters in Wisconsin and a son in Texas; 5 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Robin (Connie Omitt)  Lingenfelter; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 11:00AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2151 Stanley Street, Stevens Point, WI with  Rev. Steven Brice officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Parish Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 AM on Thursday morning in the Parish Family Center of Holy Spirit Parish until the time of mass.
