Penny Stroik

Penny (Clussman) Stroik  Age 63 of Tampa, FL, formerly of Stevens Point passed away Friday afternoon, September 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family while under the care of Lifepath Hospice.

Penny was born December 14, 1959 in Stevens Point to the late Kenneth and Nellie (Phillips) Clussman. She grew up in Stevens Point and was the youngest child of 6 children, graduating from Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) in 1977. She was united in marriage to Randall Stroik on July 9, 1977 in Stevens Point where they raised their twins Phillip and Kimberly.
Penny worked for Gary Nations Restaurant for a number of years before crossing over into the insurance industry.  She began her career in Stevens Point with Sentry Insurance and continued to move up in the industry until she finished her career at MEMIC as a Claim Team Manager in Tampa, FL.

Penny boldly battled cancer for the last three and a half years, including miraculously surviving a massive brain aneurysm. She was truly a fighter until her last breath. Penny was an avid member at St. Marks Catholic Church in Tampa. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved road trips, playing card games, vacations, spending time with her siblings, and of course cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Penny is survived by her husband Randall, as well as her two children Phillip (Abigail) Stroik and Kimberly (Jonathan) Moller and her five grandchildren; Justus, Nellie, Trulie, Porter and Duke. She is further survived by her two brothers Ed (Sue) Clussman and Ronald Clussman and her sister Arlene Buckn ell. She was preceded in death by parents Kenneth and Nellie Clussman and two brothers William and Orlo Clussman.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Rev. Steve Brice officiating. Interment will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in the Parish Family Center until the time for Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Penny's name will be established at a later date.
