Phyllis Ziaya

Phyllis Ziaya, 78, of Stevens Point, died on December 4, 2024, at Whispering Pines in Plover. She was under the care of St. Croix Hospice. Phyllis was born on July 7, 1946, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late John and Esther (Koback) Kotolski. She attended Rosholt High School and P.J. Jacobs High School.

Her marriage to Andy (Ike) Ziaya "The love of her life" took place on July 10, 1965, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, she was married to Ike for 47 years. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2012.

She worked at Worzalla Publishing for 32 years retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Anne's Society and was a Eucharist Minister at her church for many years. Along with the love of her grandchildren, she was an avid Badger, Packer, Bucks and Brewer fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (John) Livsey of Florida, Lori (Joe) Mocadlo of Bancroft and her son, Todd  Ziaya of Stevens Point. Grandchildren, Samanta, Joey, Jacob, Emily and Zachary Mocadlo. Brad and Zoe Ziaya. Great-Grandchildren, Arthur and Miles. Sisters, Diana Check of Stevens Point, Karen (Steve) Wilson of Arizona. Brothers, Jim (Carla) Kotolski of Custer and Mark (Tracy) Kotolski of Bancroft.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hoffman. Brother, Vincent  Kotolski, an infant brother, Joseph and infant sister, Patricia.

The family would like to thank Whispering Pines for their wonderful care for mom and making her feel at home. Thank You for all the love you showed her, also thank you to St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care and support for mom and to the family over the past few months.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m.  on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1709 Wyatt Ave. Stevens Point. Rev Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery.

Visitation on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pisarski Funeral Home 703 Second Street Stevens Point and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
