Raymond "Ray" F. Rajkowski
Of Stevens Point passed away Monday afternoon at Whispering Pines with his loving family at his side.
Age 82 Ray was born September 30, 1941 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Felix and Faustina (Peskie) Rajkowski. His marriage to Germaine "Geri" Sniadajewski took place on May 4, 1963 at St. Peters Catholic church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point.
Ray worked for Valley Trucking and Leasing for many years as a truck mechanic until his retirement in 2002. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and camping, gardening, wood working and restoring old cars he also loved Polka music and dancing, his goal in life was to learn how to play the concertina, and made the best refrigerator pickles ever.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Germaine "Geri", their children; Lynn (Mitch) Evenson, Menomonie, WI., LeAnn (Russ) Howard of Cottage Grove, MN, and Kristin (Scott) Boyer of Stevens Point. His five grandchildren; Gwen (Adam) Larson, Megan (Mike) Jacoby, Lauren Howard, Brittney (Kevin) Buckenberger and Amber Boyer and nine great grandchildren.
Further survived by two brothers; Bernard Rajkowski of Stevens Point, Felix (Diane) Rajkowski of Appleton, WI. and one sister Ann Marie (David ) Hughes of Rockford, IL. and a very special brother-in-law Robert Steinke of Stevens Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter Ashely Evenson, one great grandchild, and one sister Loretta Steinke and a sister-in-law Linda Rajkowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 1, 2024 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Bronislava Church until the time for mass. The Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover is honored to be serving the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Whispering Pines, and at the Lodge of Whispering Pines for their kindness and care shown to Ray, and a special thank you to Linsday the CNA who worked with Ray and gave him great encouragement through his difficult times, and to Interim Hospice Home Care who showed him gentle care and guidance during his battle with Corticobasal Degeneration.
