Raymond E. Klaips Iii

Raymond E. "Scooter" Klaips III,  age 37, formerly of Stevens Point, passed away on June 13, 2022 from complications from a long-term health issue.

He was born November 1, 1984 in Stevens Point. He is the son of Lori (Hintz) Klaips and the late Raymond Klaips Jr.

Raymond will be deeply missed by all who genuinely knew him. Ray had a unique wit and fun sense of humor. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWE, and Yellowstone, as well as fixing and building things with his girlfriend's children. He has a passion for all things farming and would be anxious to help anyone if he could. In school he could kick any one's butt with his "redneck cradle" and took that enthusiasm into his arm-wrestling career as an adult.

Raymond's most recent employment with QSP Utility brought him professional joy, accomplishment and success. Previously, Ray worked for Midwest Drilling & Blasting, and Krakowski Stone.

Raymond is survived by his mother Lori Klaips of Stevens Point, one son; Eli, four sisters; Jessica (Matthew) Rogalla of Scandinavia, Kendra (Jason) Koprek of Mosinee, Brittany (Justin) VerKilen and Megan Klaips both of Stevens Point. Raymond is further survived by seven nieces, three nephews, his girlfriend, Kim Spektor, her two children and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Klaips Jr., his brother Zachary and maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Raymond's name will be established at a later date.

A Private family burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Torun.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. at the Stevens Point Rec department, 2442 Sims Ave, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
