Raymond A. Yach of Stevens Point, died early Tuesday afternoon, June 22, 2021, ultimately of a broken heart, with his loving family at his side. Age 90, Ray was born June 21, 1931 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Leo and Agnes (Suchowski) Yach. He attended local schools, graduating from high school.
Ray entered the United States Navy on March 14, 1951 in Chicago, IL. He served as an Airman 1 st Class on the USS Tarawa during the Korean War. He received the Korean War medal, the United Nations Medal, National Defense Service medal and the Navy Occupation Medal. He was honorably discharged on March 9, 1955 in Boston, MA. His marriage to Margaret Repinski took place on September 15, 1956 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. His wife Margaret preceded him in death on January 25, 2021. Ray worked at Consolidated Papers for 38 years, as the head shipping clerk, retiring in 1993. In his free time Ray enjoyed working in his yard, deer hunting, watching Auto Racing, the Packers and Brewers, his weekly visits to Aldi's, traveling and spending time at Bayfield and in Florida.
Survivors include his children; son Jack ( Susan) Yach of Oshkosh and James (Barbara) Yach of Stevens Point, his three daughters Karen Church – Jahnke of Neenah, Lynda (Michael) Somers of Custer and Kristine Lepinski of Stevens Point. Further survived by 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and one sister Marilyn Kolvenbach of Valrico, FL., many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, his five brothers Chester, Edmund, Jerome, Robert and Bernard, and two sisters, Pat Musha and Lorraine Lorbecke.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at St. Peters Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 A.M. Saturday morning at the St. Faustina Room of St. Peters Church, and continue until the time for mass. The Pisarski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.
