Regina "Jean" Mancheski, age 93, of Stevens Point, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024. Regina was born on February 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Fanrack) Schreiber.
She attended and graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. Regina worked for the U.S. Government, facilitating various testing for recruits entering the military.
On June 4, 1955 she was united in marriage to Navy Yeoman 3rd Class William Mancheski in Philadelphia. The couple later moved to Wisconsin to continue raising their family.
Regina was a member of St. Peter Parish, a former Rosary Society member and an Auxiliary member of B.P.O. Elks #641.
She enjoyed baking (known for her cream puffs and Chrusciki), traveling to see family, baking for church fundraisers and spending time with her children and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren (and grand-dogs).
Regina is survived by her children, Nancy Mancheski of Norwood, PA, Janine Worzella and Joseph P. Mancheski both of Stevens Point; grandchildren, Michael (Lana) Eagon of North Wildwood, NJ, and Jenna and Cody Worzella of Stevens Point; two great grandchildren; son-in-law, John Eagon of Oregon, WI; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; husband William in 1988; infant daughter, Susan Mancheski; daughter Kathryn Eagon; and her siblings and their spouses, Mary (Ray) O'Donnell, Francis Schreiber, John Schreiber, Edward (Lois) Schreiber, Joseph (Mary "Mimi") Schreiber, Martin Schreiber and Catherine (Carl) McDonald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4th Ave., Stevens Point, WI 54481 at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 with Rev. John Potaczek presiding. Burial will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation in the St. Faustina Room of St. Peter Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
A Parish Rosary will be prayed in the St. Faustina Room, Tuesday, at 9:15 AM.
Regina's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Maple Ridge for their love, care and compassion they have given to Regina during her stay with them.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Regina's name are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choosing.
