Richard Charles Armagost Sr, age 84 of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Tuesday August 3, 2021, at Arborwood Assisted Living.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 10, 2021, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church 3200 Plover Road Plover. The Reverend Eric Mashak will officiate. Visitation on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Richard (Dick) was born on October 1, 1936 to Charles Earl and Louise (Lorenz) Armagost. Richard served in the United State Army, he entered in April of 1958 and was honorably discharged in August of 1962. He married Janet Kissinger May 5, 1959, which ended in divorce and then married Mary Jane Rusch on November 15, 1986. Richard worked for Consolidated Papers for his entire career, working at both Paperboard Products and Kraft Divisions. In his spare time Richard enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and hunting. Richard was also very accomplished and very much enjoyed working with wood. If you could envision it, he could create it.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary; son; Richard Jr (Deb) Armagost, Daughters; Sandra (Greg) Pawelski, Linda (Ron) Olsen, and Jody Armagost. Grandchildren Jessica, Bridget, Alexa, Tyler, Megan, Nicholas, and Nolan.
He is further survived by his sisters; Edna Armagost, Jean Brandl, Laura Richmond, brother John (Carol) Armagost and sister-in-law Mary Ann Armagost. Step son-Daniel Garcia Sr.(Kathleen), grandchildren-Danny Jr. and David. Step son-Matthew Garcia Sr.(Bernice), grandchildren-Matthew Jr., Lilliana, Naya and Faye.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Chad; daughter Stephanie; brother George; brothers-in-law Harry Richmond and Robert Brandl and niece Susan Zuebella.
Richard family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice and Arborview Court for the great care that they provided to him.
All monetary gifts will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in Richard's name.
