Richard (Rick) James Dudzik, 67, passed away peacefully in his home on April 15, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1957 in Stevens Point to parents Stanley and Joyce Dudzik. Born into a military family Rick experienced life in many cities, a journey that shaped his open heart and deep appreciation for people from all walks of life. His childhood was marked by movement, but he carried a steady presence wherever he went. As a young adult he enlisted in the Navy and upon his completion of service he returned to Stevens Point where he met the love of his life Ann Shields Jr. They ventured out West as a young couple and eventually returned to Wisconsin and settled in the Minocqua area to raise their three children, Angela, Derek and Brittny. Rick was a jack of all trades and built a successful business doing various jobs as a handyman. Eventually he moved down to Appleton to chase the sun rays and warmer weather.
Rick was a beloved father, grandfather and proud Navy Veteran; the love he held for his family and country radiated through everything he did in life. Beyond spending time with those he loved, Rick enjoyed fishing, boating on the lakes of the northwoods, wildlife and golfing. His childlike exuberance and wonder when with those he loved, or doing what he loved, will never be forgotten by those who felt its warmth.
Rick is survived by his spouse Ann (Shields), their three children, Angela (Jesse) Shields, Derek (Iris) Dudzik, and Brittny (Thow) Ly; grandchildren Zachary, Bailie, and Lukas; siblings Roy Dudzik, Ruth Dudzik, Rose Dudzik and Rochelle Dudzik along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents Stanley (Joyce) Dudzik.
