Richard Jaworski

Richard Jaworski, 85, passed away at the Stevens Point Health Care Center on October 21, 2024, with his family at his side, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Richard was born on October 23, 1938, to Joseph and Evelyn Jaworski. On June 20, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart Annette. They have been married for 65 years and have four children.

Taking after his grandfather and father, Richard spent his career in the printing industry, having his own business RJ Graphics for several years. Richard was very active in the Boy Scouts having served as a Cub Master, Scout Master, along with several other committees. In 1975, he received the Samoset Council Scouter of the Year award. He also served on the building and grounds committee at Newman Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Annette, daughter Mary Howard, sons Robert (Julie), Thomas (Lynn), and Michael (Michelle). The greatest gift our children gave us were six very much-loved grandchildren, Cary, Wenonah, Lydia, Tyler, Matthew and Lia. He is further survived by his sisters Ramona Powers, Barbara (Don) Firkus and brother Fred (Mary Lou) Jaworski, brothers-in-law Gary Glodoski and Jerry Molski, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parent, son-in-law Bob Howard, sisters-in-law Sandy Glodoski, Dorothy Molski, brother-in-law Rick Powers, niece Julie Molski, and nephew John Molski and many aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank Dixie at Inclusa for setting us on the right path and her continued guidance and kindness when caring for Richard, Afton at Inclusa for ensure all his medical needs were address and her kind-heartedness, Donna and her staff at the Lincoln Center Adult Day Center for their compassionate care and the staff at the Stevens Point Care Center where he received excellent care.

Visitation will be on Tuesday October 29, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. followed by mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. for Richard at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, 1709 Wyatt Ave.  Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials will be set up at a later date.
