Robert L. (Bob) Kalpinski

72 of Stevens Point, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with his loving family at his side.

Bob was born October 31, 1950, in Stevens Point. He was the son of late Raymond and Edna (Wisnewski) Kalpinski. Bob attended local grade schools, graduating in 1968 from PJ Jacobs High school in Stevens Point and UW-Stevens Point in 1973.

He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Flugaur, on June 26, 1971, at St. Stephen Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in Stevens Point. His wife Sharon survives.

Bob owned and operated his own business in Amherst, WI, Kalp's Amherst Locker, until it was lost to a fire. He then went to work for Thorn Apple Valley as a traveling salesman and continued in the sales industry until his retirement. He loved being in sales and meeting different people.

In his free time Bob enjoyed fishing, planting vegetables, working outside and watching his grandchildren play sports. He loved watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers.

Survivors include his wife Sharon, his daughter Jenny (Kyle) Yenter of

Custer, and two sons Rob (Janet) Kalpinski of Waterford, WI and Joel (Jenny) Kalpinski of Boone, North Carolina. He has six grandchildren: Cade, Kaylin, Jon, Taylor, Gabi and Kaya.

Further survived by two sisters; Lorraine Kalpinski of Stevens Point and Donna (Wayne) Gajewski of Wausau, three brothers Raymond Jr. (Linda) Kalpinski of Wisconsin Rapids, James (Carol) Kalpinski of Stevens Point and Rick (Marge) Kalpinski of Stevens Point. His father and mother-in-law; Ronald (Ramona) Flugaur.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edna Kalpinski.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 27, 2023, at St. Stephen Catholic Church 1401 Clark Street Stevens Point. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow on a later date. Visitation on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Stephen Catholic Church. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
