Robert L. "Ma" Pesch

Of Stevens Point passed away Sunday morning, February 12, 2023 at Aspirus St. Michaels Hospital.

Age 75 Bob was born April 23, 1947 in Stevens Point. He was the son of the late Melvin and Estelle (Pohl) Pesch.

Bob attended local grade schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1965 and the Academy of Broadcasting School in Milwaukee.

Bob worked for IGA grocery stores on the north side of Stevens Point for many years, and for Larry Fritsch Cards, the Buyers Guide and the Stevens Point Softball Association doing the official scorekeeping and announcing at Zenoff Park.

Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, and loved all the local sports teams, including the Jr. High school, both SPASH and Pacelli High schools and the University Pointer teams.  Ma also coached little league for the Stevens Point Youth baseball (SPYBA), and also umpired and refereed basketball for the city leagues.

Bob is survived by numerous  cousins and many good friends, and will be missed by all.

Memorials in Bob name may be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1919 Wyatt Ave, Stevens Point, WI 54481. As per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held this summer.
