Ronald A. Gonzales

Ronald A. Gonzales, age 70,  of Stevens Point, passed away on Saturday evening, December 12, 2020 at Wellington Place.
Ronald was born June 21, 1950 in San Jose, Calif. He was a son of the late Louis and Erma (Rossi) Gonzales. He attended Mt. Pleasant High School and San Jose City College.
His marriage to Judy Firkus took place on May 9, 1981 in Los Gatos, CA. After their marriage the couple settled in California returning to Wisconsin in 1998.
Ron operated an "Over-the-Road" Truck, traveling throughout the United States for Northern Trail Express and later, joined with his wife Judy, owned and operated, R J Trucking Company. They loved traveling together, taking road trips throughout the United States.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, Noon Lions and Knights of Columbus Council #1170.
Ronald enjoyed watching football and food with a great friend, Eric, sending jokes and daily phone calls with another great friend, Steve, reading, riding Motorcycles, camping, traveling and being involved in Community and Civic organizations but especially spending time with family and friends.
"Pop" is survived by; his children, Deneen Rochelle of South Carolina, James (Larissa Przybylski) Shemanski of Rosholt and Julie Shaminski  of Rosholt; his grandchildren Brittany (Derek) Moscinski, Andrea Sortillon, Nikayla (Derrick) Shemanski, Tim Spence and Haylee Spence; Four Great Grandchildren, Giavonna, Lillianna, Cruz and Castiel; brother, Richard (Kelli) Gonzales and sister, Dona (Barry) Naysnerski; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Judy in 2015.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Peter Catholic Church, 800 4 ^th Ave, Stevens Point at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 17, 2020 with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Inurnment will be in the Guardian Angel Cemetery Columbarium.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, concluding with a Prayer service at 6:30 P.M.

Shortly before his death, Ronald wanted everyone to know (as well as his family), that he was so very, very grateful to the staff at Wellington Place, for the love, care and compassion that everyone showed him.  He said that "Everyone here is an Angel watching over me!".
