Rose Ann Barbers

Rose Ann Barbers, age 80, of Stevens Point, passed away at Northridge Assisted Living, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice, on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Rose was born in Stevens Point on February 10, 1942, a daughter of the late Stanley and Lorraine (Losinski) Pasdo.  Her education was at St. Peter Elementary and Maria (Pacelli) High School.

After graduation, she was employed at Sentry Insurance as a "Key Punch" operator.

The former Ms. Pasdo was united in marriage to Frank J. Barbers on September 29, 1962 at St. Peter Catholic Church.  The couple celebrated their 60 ^th wedding anniversary this year.

She worked at Sentry for about 20 years but, at the same time, she was the Secretary at Saint Casimir Catholic Church and their Organist. Her musical/organist skills were self-taught. Rose served as the Organist for St. Casimir more than 40 years.

In her free time, Rose enjoyed a plethora of activities with Frank.  Snowmobiling, riding her motorcycle, fishing, water skiing, an avid reader, traveling, praying the Rosary and spending time at the Cottage.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; sister Donna (John) Brandenburg of Rhinelander; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, her church family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, John Brandenburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 203 Casimir Rd., Stevens Point on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00AM Concelebrated with Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam and Rev. Dennis Lynch.  Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Church on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of the Mass.

Her family would like to thank the Staff at North Ridge Assisted Living and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Aspirus Comfort Care for their open arms of Love, Compassion and Care that they unreservedly gave to us and to Rose.
