Sharon Lee Ramczyk, nee Copeland, age 78, passed on to eternal life with her children holding her hands on October 10, 2025. Sharon was born November 3, 1946 to the late Eva Mae and Raymond Copeland. She attended local grade schools and graduated from Maria/ Pacelli in 1965. She graduated from UW Stevens Point with a degree in medical technology. She worked for UWSP student health services for 30 years.
Sharon married Tony Ramczyk on August 16, 1969 at St. Stephen's Church. Together they raised two children, Traci and Nick. Sharon enjoyed gardening with Tony. "There wasn't a flower I didn't want, a veggie he didn't want, and neither of us wanted weeds" In the summers, she enjoyed camping and family road trips that included stops at antique stores in search of Red Poppy dishes. In later years, Sharon and Tony traveled with tour groups. A few of her favorite adventures were swimming with dolphins, a hot air balloon ride in Albuquerque, and attending the Rose Parade. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and cross-stitch and her friendship with the KnitWits. She loved to read and collect books, sometimes reading a book a day. Sharon enjoyed card games with family and her class of '65 friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Tony (Nov. 27, 2023), her parents Eva and Ray, and brother in law Glenn Walkush. Sharon is survived by her children, Traci and Nick. Further survived by her sister in law, Berni Walkush, brother in law and sister in law, Mike and Patty Ramczyk, nephew Rick, nieces Rebecca, Kristen, Debra, and Pamela, and their families.
Thank you to Nalin, Nancy, and Ashlynn for the wonderful care provided to Sharon in her final years.
Sharon wanted to make sure she made a difference in life and volunteered at Operation Bootstrap and would donate to the causes that were important to her. Memorial contributions in Sharon's name can be made to Operation Bootstrap.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sharon will be held at 11:00am on Friday October 17, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church-2151 Stanley Street Stevens Point. Fr. Steven Brice will be officiating. Burial to follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday October 16, 2025 at the Pisarski Funeral Home- 703 Second Steet Stevens Point. Visitation will continue at the church Friday morning from 10:00am until time of services.
