Stanley A. Kostuch

Stanley Andrew Kostuch, 88 of Stevens Point, passed away on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at Aspirus Hospital, Wausau. He was born on November 14th, 1936, in the town of Alban, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Anton and Regina (Glodowski) Kostuch. Stanley attended local grade schools and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1955.

From a young age Stanley worked on the family farm. After high school he moved to Milwaukee, working at Continental Can Co. and American Motors.  He gained employment with Consolidated Papers, Stevens Point in 1967, working there for 32 years and retiring in 1999. Stanley served in the military, US Army from April 1960 – April 1962 and was stationed in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Stanley and Mary Ann Ligman were married on February 20th, 1965, at St. Casmir Catholic Church. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage prior to Mary Ann's passing in 2022.

Stanley enjoyed farm work, gardening, maintaining his home and yard, and working on cars and small engines. There was nothing he couldn't fix. Family and friends were very important to him, and he enjoyed socializing and especially family get togethers.

Survivors include daughters Lisa St Louis and Julie (Joel) Thompson, both of Stevens Point. Three grandsons, Michael St Louis, Joshua and Nicholas Lattimer. Brothers Ernest of Menomonee Falls, Frank (Barbara) of Brown Deer, Henry of Cataula GA, Ralph (Theresa) of Custer, Anthony of Luxemburg, WI. Sisters Ann (Bob) Kuntzsch of Three Lakes WI and Jeanette Kozickowski of Stevens Point.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Ann, brother, Robert, and sister, Rita Coombs.

Funeral Service for Stanley will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point. Deacon Ray Heitzinger will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
