Stephen D. Brazzale of Stevens Point, passed away Sunday January 30th, 2022 at St Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield with his loving family by his side.
Stephen was born November 23, 1949 in Manitowoc, WI. He was the son of the late Oreste and Anne Marie (Fetzer) Brazzale. He attended grade school in Francis Creek, WI and graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He then attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
He married Jean Marie Delsman on August 11, 1973 at St Anne's Catholic Church in Francis Creek, WI. After their wedding, the couple moved to Stevens Point. Stephen was the Zoning Administrator for Portage County for 35 years, retiring in 2009. His most recent volunteer positions included numerous committees for St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Council #1170 (attaining Fourth Degree Knight), and a member of the Stevens Point Moose Lodge #1572.
In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and golfing. Spending time with his family, however, was his favorite thing to do in his spare time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Stephen's name will be made to St Joseph's Church and Pacelli Catholic Schools at a later time.
Survivors include his wife Jean, his two sons Jason (Jenny) Brazzale of Prescott, WI and their two children Landon and Gianna, and Adam (Elizabeth) Brazzale of Wausau, WI and their son Giovanni. Stephen is also survived by one brother, Gregory (Carol) Brazzale, one sister, Clare Zimmerman and two sisters-in-law, Dawn Brazzale and Mary Brazzale.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ned and Conrad Brazzale.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday February 5th, 2022 at St Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will be officiating. Entombment will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. Saturday morning at St. Joseph Parish Family Center until mass time.
