Stephen (Steve) John Piesik, 65, of Stevens Point, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
Steve was born May 27 th of 1957 to Gregory and Regina (Dulak) Piesik of Stevens Point. He grew up on the family farm near Arnott and attended local schools, including St. Mary of Mount Carmel School. Steve graduated from Stevens Point Area High School in 1975.
Steve's marriage to Karen (Kubisiak)Piesik took place on October 28, 1978.
He was a hardworking man, having owned his own lawn service and working as a mechanic. He retired from Del Monte Foods in 2019.
Steve lived in the Stevens Point area his entire life and enjoyed numerous pastimes including camping, hunting, fishing, feeding the birds, wine making, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed working the land around his home on his tractor and maintaining his large garden. Steve was an active member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church serving on the Pastoral Council and Restoration Committee.
Steve was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was mechanically gifted and enjoyed building machines that often were the talk around the campfire where he enjoyed many laughs. Steve will be missed by so many.
Survived by wife Karen Piesik, three daughters Jennifer (Brent) Meyer, Amanda (Tom) Nikowitz and Sarah Piesik, three grandchildren, Leo and Amelia Nikowitz and Abigail Meyer. Siblings Jerry (Darlene) Piesik, Barbara Disher and Rita (Brad) Przybylski, all of Stevens Point. Sister-in-law, Linda (Steven) Vanderloop of Kaukauna, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Lawrence and Benedict Piesik, his brother-in-law, Florian Disher, and his father and mother-in-law Albert and Rita Kubisiak.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Steve will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 10, 2023, at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church 3995 County Road K Amherst. Rev Jerzy Rebacz will officiate.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. followed by a visitation starting at 9:30a.m. on Friday at the church.
