Thomas Goretski age 79 died Thursday November 16, 2023, unexpectedly at his home. Thomas was born on March 7, 1944. He was the son of Rueben and Lucille (Wroblewski) Goretski. He graduated from D.C. Everest in 1962.Thomas retired from UPS after 25 years of service and at one time owned JR liquor.
In his free time, he enjoyed trips to Root Lake in Canada with family and friends, car shows, fishing, Hunting, traveling, music festivals, going to the casino but most of all he enjoyed life, he always could crack a joke. One of hi favorite phrases is "Oof da" with a request for "Jezyonwka."
Thomas was a proud veteran of the United States Army
Survivors include: Son-Kirk Goretski, (Significant other Jolene Christianson), Kale Goretski – Grandson, Brother-Donald (Charlene) Goretski, Significant other Kathy Eiden, Louise Goretski, Sister-in-law Geraldine Goretski, Brother-in-law David Duranceau, Jolene's children: Austin James, Brendan, Rylee, & Maya, Kathy's children: Paul, Ryan (Katherine), Lyle, Heather Eiden and Carol (Joe) Maes, her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews of Thomas' and a Godchild Brenda Williams.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, A son Chad Goretski, Brother- Harold Goretski, Sister -Elaine Nowacki, Sister- Elizabeth Duranceau.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday December 1, 2023 at The Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point-703 2nd Street, Stevens Point. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. Deacon Jim Trzinski will be officiating. Full military honors will follow the burial at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
