Vera Prutz-Glaza

Vera Prutz Glaza of 5301 Old So-White Road, Plover passed away peacefully at home with daughters Linda and Kathryne at her side on Friday October 1, 2021.

She was born in Federal Dam, Minnesota on February 21, 1922 to David and Pearl (Ruelle) Newman. As a young girl they moved to Biron, Wisconsin and Vera attended local schools.

She married Bernard Prutz December 1940, he died in 1959.

She married Stanley Glaza in 1967 in Stevens Point, he died on August 11, 1990.

Vera worked for a number of years for Okray Farms. She was a member of the St. Anne's society at St. Joseph Church.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (Steven) Kaainoa of Menomonee Falls, Kathryne Glodowski (friend Joe Kruzitski) of Stevens Point, Bernard (Maria) Prutz of Plover, Thomas Prutz of Las Vegas, Linda Prutz of Plover and James Prutz of Tennessee. Brother, David "Chuck" (Leona) Newman of Wisconsin Rapids. Sisters, Mavis Newman of Wisconsin Rapids and Joyce (Tom) Buss of Kellner.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Vera will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 7, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Stevens Point. Rev. Jeffery Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Pisarski Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the family.
