Virginia M. Stanislawski
of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon July 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Age 93, Virginia was born July 5, 1928 in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late August Sr. and Lillian (Rogowski) Zabrowski. She attended St. Peter grade school and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High school in 1946. Later in life she completed an LPN nursing program at Mid State Technical College.
She married Clarence E. Stanislawski on August 19, 1950 at St. Peter Catholic Church. After their marriage the couple settled in the Stevens Point area. They relocated to Green Bay in 1971 and moved back to Stevens Point in 1985 following Clarence's retirement. Clarence preceded her in death on August 31, 2005.
Virginia volunteered at the Lincoln Center and was a member of the St. Ann's Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, reading, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and watching Green Bay Packer football. She was always ready to greet everyone with a hug. Virginia's life was centered around her family, friends, and faith.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Virginia's name at a later date.
Survivors include her five daughters; Patricia (Keith) Laux of Green Bay, Jean (Michael) Bablitch of Plover, Laurie (Dan) Anderson of Franklin, Ruth (Rev. Mark) Kock of Milwaukee, and Sandra (James) Ryan of Rochester, MN. Further survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, one granddaughter Rebecca Bablitch and one grandson Russell Gregorash, her brother August Zabrowski Jr. and her six sisters Regina Hilger, Dorothy Ruzga, Lorraine Yulga, Theresa Borski, Veronica Stammer and Sophie Dehlinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1709 Wyatt Avenue Stevens Point, WI. Rev. Jeffrey Hennes will officiate. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will also be at St. Joseph's at 10:00 AM Friday morning preceding the mass.
