Virginia Sue Vogt (née Podeszwa), age 85, passed away peacefully at home in Plover, Wisconsin, on April 11, 2025.
Born on September 29, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Virginia was the beloved daughter of Harry and Helen (Franek) Podeszwa. She married the love of her life, William Vogt, in Chicago, and together they built a beautiful life in Wisconsin, raising five children and creating a legacy rooted in love, laughter, and family.
Virginia had a long and successful career in banking and retired from Bulls Eye Credit Union. She was known for her dedication, kindness, and grace in all she did. In retirement, she embraced her adventurous spirit, traveling and wintering in Texas with William. Of all their journeys, her most cherished memories were the simple, joyful times camping together in their little A-liner camper. She lived life fully, laughed often and if you dined out with her, she always ordered the steak.
Above all, Virginia's heart was with her family. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even her great-great-granddaughter. Her love was unwavering, and her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape.
She is survived by her children:
Bill (Sarah) Vogt of Waupaca, WI
Tamarie (David) Juve of Wisconsin Rapids, WI
Debra Wilde of Waupaca, WI
Bruce (Laurie) Vogt of Round Lake, IL
Brian (Anne) Vogt of Custer, WI
She is also lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, and a very special friend Aggie.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, William.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with William, and that her love will forever live on in their hearts.
