Adeline E. Liebe, 91, of Stevens Point, passed away on Monday, May 25th, at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

Adeline was born on June 27, 1934, in Stevens Point, WI, to Anton and Victoria Pionek. She married Michael Liebe on February 16th, 1953; he passed away on October 21, 2001.

Adeline devoted 30 years of her career to Joerns Furniture, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. A longtime member of St. Stephen’s Church in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, her faith and church remained an important part of her life throughout adulthood.

Adeline and Mike cherished their weekends together, often taking drives “up north” and finishing their adventures at a favorite local restaurant. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, playing cards, reading, and relaxing with her favorite television programs. Whether it was a classic Western, cartoons like Tom & Jerry, game shows, or Judge Judy, there was always something familiar and comforting playing loudly on her TV.

Adeline is survived by her daughter Darlene (Ed) Mayek of Junction City, WI, and Vickie (Norb) Kawski of Stevens Point, WI. Grandchildren: Cindy (Joe) Kerwin, Michael (Kali) Mayek, Michelle (Tom) Klepps & Gwyn Kawski.

Great-granddaughters Gabrielle, Addisyn & Brynlee Mayek who loved to stop by Granny and hear all her favorite stories, especially about her horse Molly. And great-grandsons Timothy & Michael Klepps.

She is further survived by a brother, Ron & many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mike, brothers: John, Emil, Andy, & Edward, Sisters: Bernice, Millie, Genevieve.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Mike & Ellen Splitt for being wonderful neighbors to Adeline for many years. They also wish to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice, especially Courtney and Kim, for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Adeline and her family. In addition, the family is deeply grateful to the caring staff at Our House Assisted Living, especially Matty, Paula, and Lynn, for their support and dedicated care.
