Anthony T. 'Tony' Skusevich Jr.
72, of 440 West Scott Street, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital due to complications from cancer. Born February 16, 1938 in Illinois.
Son of the late Anthony (Fayette Christianson) Skusevich Sr. He graduated from Nekoosa High School. He entered the service on December 31, 1956. Tony served in the Marine Corps as an Aircraft Mechanic. He was honorably discharged on December 10, 1959. Tony was very proud of his service in the Marine Corps.
He was married to Katherine Butler; the couple later divorced. His marriage to Sandy Hays took place on July 25, 1981 in Wisconsin Rapids; after the marriage, the couple lived in Nekoosa, finally settling in Stevens Point.
Tony worked for Chicago Bridge & Iron in Kankakee, Illinois as a welder, retiring in 1998. He then worked part-time as a security officer with Gruber Security at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
He enjoyed going to the casinos, fishing, watching TV and Karaoke.
Survivors include his wife: Sandy Skusevich of Stevens Point. Children: Cindy (Rich) Haviland of Bancroft, Debbie (Andy) Matthews of Wisconsin Rapids, Robert (Lori) Skusevich of Nekoosa, Kim (Tim) Spaulding of Wisconsin Rapids. Step-Children: Ronald (Lisa) Plante of Hancock and Beth Plante of Stevens Point. Sister: Patricia Skusevich of Wisconsin Rapids.
15 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by 1 Step-Son: Daniel Plante.
Funeral Service: 10:30a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, Stevens Point. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation on Thursday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home and again on Friday from 9:30a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
