Arlene M. Huff, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Monday morning, April 20, 2009, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.
She was born on Feb. 22, 1947, in Green Bay to the late Dominic and Tillie (Shulfer) Mansavage. Arlene moved with her family on a farm in Custer at the age of one. Her marriage to Dennis Huff took place on June 20, 1970 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Custer. Dennis died on Dec. 11, 1997.
Arlene was a graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1965 and had worked as a secretary in the Portage County District Attorney's Office before becoming a homemaker.
Arlene enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crocheting, trips to the Casino and holding her granddaughter, Lacie.
Survivors include her son, Eric Huff of Stevens Point; granddaughter, Lacie Huff of Stevens Point; two sisters, Delores (Russell) Glodowski of Green Bay and Rita (Harlan) Glodowski of Custer; 1 sister-in-law, Elsie Mansavage of Custer, 1 brother-in-law, Jack (Ramona) Huff of Custer; foster-brother, Leonard (Freda) Herman of Stevens Point; and special friend, Ron Manz of Wisconsin Rapids.
In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorette Huff, two brothers, David and Chet Mansavage & 1 brother-in-law, Kenneth Huff & 1 sister-in-law, Irene Huff.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Custer with the Rev. George Thayilkuzhottu officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass.
