Barbara J. Gollon, age 49, of Plover (town of Buena Vista), died Saturday, Sep. 12, 2009, at home from natural causes.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1960, in Stevens Point to Richard and Lorraine (Rutta) Riske. Barbara attended Mid-State Technical College for the nursing assistant program and had worked for several care facilities in the area. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and loved ones.
Surviviors include her mother, Lorraine Riske of Stevens Point; daughter, Tammy Gollon of Stevens Point; son, Roger Gollon of Stevens Point; 2 grandchildren, Briahna and Brendon of Stevens Point; boyfriend, Rick Bella of Plover; four brothers, Tom Riske of Stevens Point, Ron (Renee) Riske of Stevens Point, Doug (Billie) Riske of Almond, and Bruce (Debbie) Riske of Polonia; two sisters, Sandy (Bob Zblewski) Lepper of Stevens Point, and Jenny (Rob Harrison) Riske of Stevens Point;and former husband and friend Louis Gollon, also, many nephews and nieces.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Robert Riske.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point with the Rev. Bill Christiansen officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
