Bernice S. Kleman

Of Stevens Point, died Friday morning, September 6, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Age 87.

Bernice was born December 5, 1925 in Galloway, WI. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Bluma) Bushman.

Her marriage to Edward B. Kleman took place on October 23, 1943 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Galloway.

Together Edward and her founded Kleman's Farms Inc. Edward served as president until his retirement in 1984. Bernice served as secretary and treasurer until her retirement in 1996.

The couple was married for over 63 years. Her husband, Edward, preceded her in death on February 20, 2007.

Bernice enjoyed tending her flowers, shopping, playing cards, baking and visiting the casinos. Her most precious time was spent with her family and grandchildren.

Bernice was a kind and generous woman to all who knew her. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society for over 49 years.

Survivors include two sons: Donald (Sandra) Kleman and John (Patricia) Kleman both of Stevens Point. Three daughters: Carole Kozelek of Pewaukee, WI, Marilyn (Eugene) Patoka of Arlington, TX, and Renee Bernauer of Stevens Point.

Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Further survived by three brothers: John (Sadie) Bushman, Harry Bushman and Ernest (Mavis) Bushman all of Galloway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; one son, Kenneth; one brother, Myron; and one sister, Ann.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Greg Michaud officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Hearth Parish Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Plover, and from 10:00 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church until the time for mass.
