Betty Lorbecki age 76 of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident on Wednesday January 13, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Betty was born on June 20, 1939 in Milladore, Wisconsin to the late Antone and Eleanor (Stosick) Cherney.

She graduated from P.J. High School in 1957. Betty was married to Ronald Lorbecki on August 11, 1962 at St. Wenceslaus Church in Milladore.

She worked at U.W.S.P retiring in July 1999. Betty was a parishioner of St. Bronislava Parish. She took great pride in being a lector at church.

She loved watching the Green Bay Packers, Brewers and the Pointer basketball team attending many games here in Stevens Point. She loved spending time with her Grandsons Orin and Mike. Betty also enjoyed playing cards, family reunions, vacationing at Disney World and riding the wild rides. Her dogs Brutus and Mijal, were her constant companions and an important part of her life. She enjoyed when the neighbor girl Caitlin came over and played with them as well, it brought a spark of joy to her life.

Survivors include her husband Ronald of Stevens Point, and her children: LuRae (Orin) Sayner
of Plover. Blair of Junction City, and Ginger (Tom) Masura of Venice Florida.

Grandchildren: Orin Sayner of Stevens Point, and Mike of Plover.

Betty is also survived by her sister Kay Underwood of Plover, and brother Edward (Nancy) Cherney also of Plover.

She was preceded in death by her parents and good friend Aggie.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday January 18, 2016 at St. Bronislava Catholic Church Plover with the Rev. Placid Stroik officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Visitation on Sunday will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home at 2911 Plover Road Plover and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the Church. Parish rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pisarski Community Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.

Mom, we love and miss you so much already, it's so hard to believe you are gone from us. We do know that you are in the arms of God and at Peace. Say Hi to Grandma and Grandpa for us, and know that we think of you every minute of every day and always will.
